Trachea (100X)

Microimage

Pseudostratified columnar epithelium lines the inside of the trachea facing the lumen. The epihelium contains cells with cilia, goblet cells, basal cells (stem cells) and a small number of brush cells.

In addition to fibroblasts, lymphocytes and mast cells can also be found in the lamina propria, but this is not seen in this image.
