What are some typical visual traits of the skeletal muscle cell?

Skeletal muscle cells are characterized by their nuclei are situated peripherally in the cells and the cytoplasm being intensely eosinophilic. In a longitudinal section it will be possible to see the streaked or striped appearance of the eosinophilic cell contents making us also referring to them as striated muscle cells.
