Peritubular dentine in dentinal tubules, cross section

The image shows dentinal tubules containing a type of highly mineralized dentine called peritubular dentine. The section is made halfway through the dentine from the dentino-enamel junction (DEJ) towards the pulp. There is also a longitudinal section of peritubular dentine.
